Zipper’s lead paint leads to recall of hooded-jacket, T-shirt sets at Target
Oct. 16, 2012—Children’s Apparel Network recalled fleece hooded-jacket and T-shirt sets, because the coating on the jacket’s zipper contains excessive levels of lead, which violates the federal paint standard.
The recalled sets were sold in black/blue (Cars), gray/red (Snow White) and red/white (Mickey Mouse) color combinations in size 12M to 5T. The identification numbers of the recalled products are DP4253B, J4820-A and J4821. The numbers are printed on a label that’s sewn into the seam of the jacket.
The recalled products were sold at Target stores nationwide and at target.com from October 2011 through December 2011. No injuries were reported. Consumers should take the product away from the child and return the set to any Target store for a full refund.
