Three years ago, we noted a trend of manufacturers adding color and texture options to their garage-storage products. We continue to see that, and at least two companies—Flow Wall and StoreWall—have new colors.
In 2016, Flow Wall added red and platinum to its options. Cabinets that have these colors cost more than do the other colors—at least an additional $100 on cabinet systems—because the application of the carbon-fiber paint that’s used requires an additional process, the company says. We saw the new colors, and they have a deeper, richer appearance.
Meanwhile, StoreWall added a metallic finish that’s called graphite steel to its wall panels in 2016. It mimics the look of steel and costs the same as do the company’s other colors.
